Hi,

      I'm trying to install SMC 3.0 ( Sun Management Center ) on a Solaris
8 box. java is installed and JAVA_HOME=/usr/java1.1 . There's another
software running on the same box and unfortunately this software wants java
1.1.7.

      Is it possible to install required java version for SMC (
JAVA_MINIMUM_REQUIRED="Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_06" ) to another location like
/usr/j2se and make this directory default JAVA_HOME for SMC. For example,
using another root privileged user.

      I get following error and install stops.

SUNWj2rt.2 package is installed in nondefault location. It must be removed
Sun Management Center installation. Please remove this package and
run es-inst again.

      Any help would be greatly appreciated.
