Hi,
I've noticed there is software available for PCs that checks the RAM,
hard disks etc. for any hardward errors. Most of this software comes as
a bootable floppy disk.
I was wondering if there is software like this for SUN machines but I
want it to run when the operating system is running. I don't want to
have to shutdown the machine.
Basically I was thinking of setting up a crontab on each user machine to
run this diagnostic software (if it exists) in the middle of the night
and that this would give me advance warnings of disks going bad, bad RAM
etc.
