Well I had the mount point and had started and stopped
voldaemon so thanks go to Galen Johnson for the
correct answer of -
I have good money that as a concientious sysadmin you
go through
/etc/inetd.conf and comment out all the "unnecessary"
services. I know
I do which is why this bit me. I actually found the
answer in the
archives...you need to make sure that the following
entry in inetd.conf
is uncommented:
100155/1 tli rpc/ticotsord wait root
/usr/lib/smedia/rpc.smserverd rpc.smserverd
