E420 can't see LSI E4400 LUNs

Hello all,

I have a new LSI E4400 connected to a Sun E420 (latest OBP), Solaris 7
(fully patched). They are connected with two dual ported 2GB LSI FC
cards (model 449290), which are sitting in slots 1 and 2. Only one port
on each is actually connected to the array. This is DAS; there's no
switch involved.

We can see ths LUNs through OBP (it even times out correctly on the
unused port on each card). However, reconfig boots,
drvconfig;devlinks;disks, etc. doesn't result in me being able to see
them through the OS. We are able to do out-of-band management on the
array, but not in-band management.

I have verified the itmpt entries in /kernel/drv/sd.conf, the LSI
entries in ssd.conf, and also that lsiadm has modified the scsi
initiator ID in itmpt.conf.

Any ideas would be appreciated. What I'm hoping for is something like
"Oh, you can't use the LSI FC cards in slots 3 or 1 on an E420". But
that's probably hoping for too much. At this point, even something like
"I could never get that array to work with the 420, but it works on a
250 just fine" would be nice. hehe.

TIA, and I will summarize.
