Hi sysadmins,
Has anyone had success in deploying CUPS on Solaris 8 in a way that it works with most of the DT stuff? I.E. the CDE text editor, the snapshot tool, or others? Printing fails, even by replacing the lp binaries with the ones from CUPS, as if these things had a "printing backdoor". We have no problems with Netscape as it accepts a command to print too (as well as other sw like OpenOffice). Anything that doesn't give us this level of customization (most of CDE) is not behaving well.
Beside switching to Gnome, has anyone got any clues on how to make CDE interoperate with CUPS?
