cdrom problem

Always a friday. :)
A newly built 3500 with Solaris 9 patched up. I can't
get it to mount a cdrom. It sees it ok at the ok
prompt cos thats how i installed solaris. I've added
an external one scsi 3 to see if that would work but
didn't. vold is running and volcheck does nothing.
All drives show up on probe-scsi. I've done devfsadm,
boot -r and touched /reconfigure.
Alternatively i tried manually mounting and get -
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 /cdrom
mount: No such device
mount: cannot mount /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0
# mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0 /cdrom
mount: No such device
mount: cannot mount /dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0
Any ideas ?
