Well I guess iplanet is a Sun product now and I'm not
sure if this is an iplanet or system problem....
heres a quick description.
Running the admin tool ksvradmin
Following an install, this starts/displays OK until it
comes to adding a Server. We select the localhost
give the appropriate username/password/port nos. but
when click on OK the timer symbol appears forever and
a java.lang.OutOfMemory error appears in the console
window.
Machines are an ultrabook and an Enterprise 250
(happening on 2 machines used to be ok in ultrabook)
ultrabook 1024mb memory, enterprise 512mb.
Machines have db2 with /etc/system as per sample for
that amount of memory. iplanet web server 4.1,
application server 6. Our program needs those versions
so upgrading not an option. Couldn't see any patches
that might help. Tried running it setting various
memory settings at the command line on running, but no
difference. Suggestions welcome. :)
