Hi,

I have two identical hosts, each has two NICs.
Is there a way to make one host active answer to Virtual IP and the other as a
stand by?
Doesn't look like Solaris 8 IP multipathing can do this.

I think I need to have a private link between them to check heart beat, but how
can I make both filesystem ( just one directory) in sync?

Also, no budget is avaiable for this, so a VCS or SCS is not possible.
I need a cheap solution.
