hello managers,

The sun blade 1000 boots from 2/02 1 of 2 CD . The set up screen requested the language english (choice 0 ) then a local: english (49/50). It then starts open windows. Then a beep with a blank screen.

A small screen appears in the upper left hand corner with the message: System coming up, please wait in.rdisc: no interface detected.

In the center of the screen is the screen containing the The Solaris install program: Click to continue: I do

Network Connnectivty screen: Networked or not: Yes
DHCP Yes or no: Yes
Host name: austin
IP address: 192.168.0.2
System part of a subnet? No (stand alone with a connection to internet. In prior installation I used the subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Enable IPv6: no
Confirm Information screen:

After I click the button to continue, the box in the upper left reports the following message:
Assertion Failed: Have_ext_net_info (nc) == True File main.c, line 931 Abort - core dump.
Starting remote procedure call (RPC) services: sysidns done.

A small screen in the center System Identification status: Just a moment.

A this point the install process hangs indefinately. Any suggestions on what the problem is and how to resolve this issue?

thanks
