Perf drop??? with Java1.3...

Upgraded a customer's java version... customer feels system is under stress.

Sol2.6 Java based webserver; U-10 400mhz Sparc-II... Moved from Java1.2.2 to
Java1.3 including recommended Sol2.6 patch cluster.

Webserver login per second performance has increased 10% with CPU at 99%
when JVM is run in -server mode... However with the same login load on
Java1.2.2 and Java1.3; the process run queue has climbed from 2 to 40!!!

So while I see a performance increase... I see a very high run queue... is
this ok?

I've been searching for an explanation why/what exactly increments the
vmstat run queue counter... but alas... no luck so far... need the list's
help.

will summarize.

thanks.
