Hi Managers,

We are running Oracle database 8.1.6 on Solaris 8 with patch rev 14.
Now the problem ....once in every 2 days we see LOT of Oracle processes in
"top" which take approximately 3-4% CPU and 15MB of memory bringing machine
down to its knees. If we check in Oracle database for the details with the
PIDs, it does not show anything.

We tried "truss" to see if process is doing anything, but it looks
all bank. Can gurus throw some light on debugging the problem???

Thanks

Sridhar Vaddadi
