Gurus,
In a bind. I've added 2 memory/cpu boards fully populated to my
already existing 8g ram 8cpu system. However the 2 boards I have added
are not being seen and are being "failed". The message I get at boot is
"failed cpu board present in slot 8"
failed cpu board present in slot 10"
Slots 0, 2, 4, 6 were the originals boards and all have working
boards/cpus.
The 2 new boards were taken out of an identical 6500 with the same
hardware configuration.
THis machine is a E6500 running Solaris 2.5.1 all latest patches
The machine will still boot and run, but why are slots 8 & 10 disabled?
Can anyone help me out here?
TIA,
Randy Romero
In a world without walls and fences, who needs Gates and Windows?
