VxVM vs. EMC

Currently I have two E450's clustered with VCS. The application is
Oracle. The data for it is on two A5000's that are in a stripe-pro
config with DRL's. We currently see (using vxstat) 8-10ms's for reads
and 10-12ms's for writes. The company has bought into a EMC symmertrix
5930. My question is this..

Would it be better to just have EMC represent the disks to me that way
I use VxVM to do the RAIDing or should I have EMC do the raiding?

I'm interested in experiences and opinions.. :)
