NIS Master Binding to a slave server

Hi Sun Experts

I am facing a peculiar problem on NIS master Server. After 2 hrs, the
NIS Master binds to a slave server which were configured. I rebootted
the NIS Master Server and checked ypwhich, it is binded properly(i.e it
shows the NIS Master Server's Name only) or restart the YP Services, it
binds to itself. But after 2 hrs it binds to a Slave Server which is the
first entry hostname as per the ypcat -k ypservers output. All the NIS
Maps are working fine. The Clients which are binded to master servers
hostname are hanging.

The NIS MASTER Setup is not a new setup one, it is running with the same
setup for almost 2 years. Past 4 days I am facing this problem. The NIS
Master Server / OS details are as follows

1. Hardware - E-450
2. OS - Solaris 5.7 with latest Recommended and Security Patches
Installed.

The NIS Slaver Servers are Configured on Systems which are Running
Solaris 6 and above. The Slave servers are configured for first entry as
a Slaver Server's hostname and second entry as a master server's host
name. The NIS Clients are configured for Slave Servers Hostname based on
the respective network as a first entry and so on, the last entry is for
Master Server's Hostname.

Can u help me what could cause the NIS Master Server binding to a Slave
Server after 2 hours. Is there any timeout or a parameter which can do
this.

The only change in our environment is we replaced a old cabletron mmac
plus switch to a Matrix E7 and the firmware on Entarasys ER16 is
upgraded to latest version.

Please suggest me what could cause the NIS Master to behave like this. I
spoke the Entarasys also about this problem. So far no solution.

Thanks and Regards
