SUMMARIZE: Can't log in as root: Segmentation Fault

SUMMARIZE of the PROBLEM:

Finally the problem was resolved. It was due to a field in the
/etc/security/audit_user that has to be set to a value and it hadn't
anything.
The field is the one corresponding to never and it has to have a 'no'.
