Will a Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 40 gig disk work on Ultra 10 (solaris 2.6)?

Hi,

I have a client running Solaris 2.6 on Ultra 10s. These Ultra 10s (most
at least) already have 20 gig disks (mirrored with SDS) in them and that
is working fine. I searched the archives trying to see if anyone has
had success with 40 Gig disks (e.g. Seagate's Barracuda ATA IV
(ST340016A)) and all I could find was older stuff saying I needed a
patch to see more than 8 gig or so.

You can still get the 20 gig drives from Sun (who is quite proud of them
at $300 a pop). I can find the 40 gig Seagate I mentioned above for
less than $100.

Does anyone have a 40 gig disk working with Solaris 2.6 on an Ultra 10?

Thanks,

Gene
