Hi there

I have no idea how to deal with tapes in Solaris OS: are tapes like disks?
how can i check out if there is some data in my tapes? how to back up a
specific file or directory (i.e. ufsdump / ufsrestore) and how to restore it
to a different location?

I have ran this command: #mt -f /dev/rmt/0cbn erase but it seems that the
tape is still full: when i run a policy in NetBackup, the tape is mounted,
but NBU request another media so this tape is still full!!

I need some help to deal with these TAPES.

Vince
