guys real sorry for mailing, but i cant seem to put the right thing into
google or sunsolve to find an answer.
doing an iostat -En normally returns entires and i can see rmt devices
as im interested in tapes.
On 2 machines i have ( Sun Fire 3800 according to /usr/platform/`uname
-i`/sbin/prtdiag ) doing an iostat -En only shows the tape drives as st
numbers.
1. any one any idea why?
2. does this affect performance at all?
The /dev/rmt/?cbn entries are there but im just concerned as to why i
cant see rmt on an iostat output. Because i know which rmt relates to
which fiber connected drive i want to be able to do something like
iostat -xnd 2 10 |grep rmt to get some speed stats.
Solaris 10 on this btw.
Cheers
