Hi Gurus,
Could someone please help with a small problem with NIC:
I have a SUN v120 with the 2 NIC configured as:
bash-2.05# ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=1000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 8232 index 1
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
eri0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
inet 193.1.1.34 netmask ffffffe0 broadcast 193.1.1.63
ether 0:3:ba:b:df:a3
eri1: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 3
inet 193.1.1.36 netmask ffffffe0 broadcast 193.1.1.63
ether 0:3:ba:b:df:a4
both interfaces are connected to a 2900 switch. From this switch, I am able
to ping both NIC eri0 + eri1.
However, if I remove the th eri0 ethernet cable, I am no longer able to ping
eri1.
This is a little strange. Clearly I've missed a piece of configuration
somewhere.
Hope you can help.
Thanks
Sasha.
