All -
I currently have an issue with one of our Sun V880 running Solaris 9.
We are attempting to configure sendmail to use a mail relay but
everytime I send a message it attempts to use ESMTP
from /var/log/syslog
Jul 10 09:15:33 aodb sendmail[249]: [ID 801593 mail.info]
l6ADFXh1000249: to=rvecchiarelli@airit.com, delay=00:00:00,
mailer=esmtp, pri=30061, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued
I have a smarthost defined in sendmail.cf and the host is also in
/etc/hosts. The machine has no DNS configured and a blank resolv.conf
When i run /usr/lib/sendmail -v rvecchiarelli@airit.com
I get:
airit.com: Name server timeout
rvecchiarelli@airit.com... Transient parse error -- message queued for
future delivery
I have the same sendmail.cf file working on the second machine in the
cluster that is setup the same, or so i believe.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
