Hardware: V880
o/s: Solaris 8.0202

We are repeatedly logging the following in /var/adm/messages on our V880s:

"Jul 17 00:58:05 hlssun3 picld[77]: [ID 789240 daemon.error] Device DISK5
removed
Jul 17 00:58:22 hlssun3 picld[77]: [ID 727222 daemon.error] Device DISK5
inserted"

Sun gave me a list of 11 patches for picld but didn't say that any of them
would specifically fix this problem. I rather not just blindly apply the
patches.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've considered stopping picld as a way
to make the problem disappear, but supposedly it's a good hardware
monitoring daemon.

  the future.) By the way, the application ran fine once I renamed the
  Solaris supplied /usr/lib/libxml2.so file. So, the next step is to
  figure out how to properly compile the application to use
  /opt/csw/lib/libxml2.so and stop touching /usrlib/libxml2.so, but that
