Hello All:
I need to verify the NFS mount performance. Currently I have NFS share mount over Public network 100 Mbps link and I plan to switch to the private network 1000 Mbps link so I need to know how much performance improves after switch to the private network 1000 Mbps. What UNIX command that allow me see the number of seconds taking if I want to copy the 2g file (mkfile 2g testfile) from local disk to the NFS mount. Or are there any other ways to test and view data traffic before and after switch from 100Mbps to 1000Mbps link.
Local server: SunFire 210
NFS Server: NetApp F840
