Hi,

I backed up my 1G volume with a ufs type to a 60G volume. When I back
up teh data to the new disk, the 60G lun reflects the slice 2 size as 1G
even though it was a 60G disk since the label is also backed up by the
software.I relabled the 60G volume so that the VTOC re-claims the
actual disk capacity.

This is my VTOC for the 60G LUN :
partition> p
Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 49150 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

Part Tag Flag Cylinders Size Blocks
  0 root wm 0 - 102 128.75MB (103/0/0)
263680
  1 swap wu 103 - 205 128.75MB (103/0/0)
263680
  2 backup wu 0 - 49149 60.00GB (49150/0/0)
125824000
  3 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0)

  4 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0)

But the file system still reflects the 1G size :

/dev/dsk/c1t8d69s2 950160 77070 816081 9% /mnt

If I run growfs on s2, I get the following error :

# growfs /dev/rdsk/c1t8d69s2
Too many cylinder groups with 125824000 sectors;
try increasing cgsize, or decreasing fssize to 29360128
Filesystem is currently inconsistent. It must be repaired with f
before being used. Use the following command to do this:

        fsck /dev/rdsk/c1t8d69s2

One problem should be reported, that the summary information is b
You will then be asked if it should be salvaged. Answer `yes' to
this question.

Is there something I am missing in my procedure? Any help is greately
appreciated!
I don't have to dynamically expand the file system, I have unmounted
and re-tried, but still see the same issue.

Thanks,
smitha
