Recovering fdisk partitions

I had a disk array that was 1TB in size suddenly go offline and now it shows
up as a strange size and has lost its partition table.

The disk had 100% Solaris Fdisk partition.

It was 121373 cylinders

It used to be formatted with slice 6 as being the total 1TB size.

It is now showing up as 27266 cylinders

This is an external RAID 5 array. The RAID controller shows the drives and
array are all fine.

Ive connected to windows machine and the partition shows up in Storage
Management with a 417.75 MB partion starting after the reserved boot
partition of the partition.

Any idea of how this could have happened/ ways to recover the fdisk
partition?
