All,
While trying to install 109809-05 and 108993-66 (DST patches) on a
Solaris 8 (02/02) system I get:
*/pkginfo not found
*/pkginfo not found
One or more patch packages included in
<patch ID> are not installed on this system.
I have done some googling and found nothing so far that has done the
trick. A lot of what I found on that error indicates that the patch
doesn't need to be applied b/c the package that needs it does not exist.
Obviously that is not the case.
However, while playing with this last night I found that the '*/pkginfo
not found' error was occurring when it was looking in /var/sadm/pkg.
The weird part is that /var/sadm/pkg and /var/sadm/patch are both empty
directories.
# showrev -p
No packages are installed
#pkginfo
<No output>
I am stuck! Does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this without
re-installing?
Thanks,
Chad Truhn
