ssh remote dd hangs

Gurus;

I tried the following command;

#ssh admin@192.168.2.4 "dd bs=128k files=1 if=/dev/rmt/0n" | ufsrestore
bxf - 64k <my file list>

I was able to restore the required files. However the above command does
not end automatically after the restoration.

It simply hangs after the "set owner/mode for '.'? [yn]" (after I enter "y"
to the question)

It simply hangs there.

????

I am not allowed to use the public/private key to automate the login.
(long story). So the above goes into interactive login but the thing is,
the restoration works! (after I manually authenticate)

I have tried variations of the above command;

#ssh -T admin@192.168.2.4 "dd bs=128k files=1 if=/dev/rmt/0n" |
ufsrestore bxf - 64k <my file list>

Again, the restoration works but the command hangs at the same place
(after the "set owner/mode for '.'? [yn]" question)

Warmest Regards
Steven Sim
