Hi SunManagers,

I am finishing up a Solaris9 box for a customer. It's an HP ML370 server
with a SCSI HP DAT72 tape drive. The machine was set up initially with
Solaris9 by my predecessor.

There are no devices in /dev/rmt/

What do I do to get them?????? Need help quick as my boss wants the machine
onside ASAP.

On another similar machine we have:

# ls -l /dev/rmt/0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 70 Mar 10 2005 /dev/rmt/0 ->
../../devices/pci@0,0/pci8086,3595@2/pci8086,329@0/pcie11,da@3/st@3,0:

On the current machine I have:

# ls -l /devices/pci@0,0/pci8086,3595@2/pci8086,329@0/
total 0
crw------- 1 root sys 155, 64 Mar 31 17:53 pcie11,da@3,1:devctl
crw------- 1 root sys 155, 65 Mar 31 17:53 pcie11,da@3,1:scsi
crw------- 1 root sys 155, 0 Mar 31 17:53 pcie11,da@3:devctl
crw------- 1 root sys 155, 1 Mar 31 17:53 pcie11,da@3:scsi

I am not that savvy with SCSI on Solaris and not sure what I do with the
above....

Anyone?
