Good day,
I know this is probably a bit off topic, but here it goes anyhow:
We have sunrays, and we would like to have some users on a Linux X server. This is all working fine up to now (it's great to have the functionality of the smart cards with a Linux desktop). Our major concern is bandwidth and cpu utilization on the sunray server. Additionally, KDE/Gnome aren't exactly as snappy as CDE, which was expected. However, would there be a way to reduce the number of colors on the Linux box's X server so that the environment is a bit faster? If anyone has/is doing this, I'd like to have some feedback.
Thanks for your time,
