weird formatting problem

Hello all, I have 140 gig drive and I wanted to move content to a 300 gig
drive. Well task could not be simpler but for some reason I cant do it.

I had 3 x 300gig drives under Solaris raid-z. Usually when I do format I
see partitions 0 trough 7. Something like this:
partition> print
Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 49780 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

Part Tag Flag Cylinders Size Blocks
   0 root wm 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   1 swap wu 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   2 backup wu 0 - 49779 136.72GB (49780/0/0)
286732800
   3 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   4 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   5 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   6 usr wm 0 0 (0/0/0)
0
   7 unassigned wm 0 - 49779 136.72GB (49780/0/0)
286732800

But this 300 gig drive that was under raid-z has different structure.
partition> print
Current partition table (original):
Total disk sectors available: 585921082 + 16384 (reserved sectors)

Part Tag Flag First Sector Size Last Sector
   0 usr wm 34 279.39GB 585921082
   1 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   2 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   3 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   4 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   5 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   6 unassigned wm 0 0 0
   8 reserved wm 585921083 8.00MB 585937466

I am trying to get rid of raid-z (zfs) and just create "normal" partition
table but I cant do it. Any idea why?

Chris

PS: I know, sun does not support 300 gig drives in v240 but I have few
drives that do work just fine... I just need to format this one and create
partition table that has one or two slices the most and so I can put ufs
on
