Linux as a Jumpstart

I have setup jumpstart servers before without issue,
but this one is proving
a pain
It's a Solaris 9 server (9/04) with a local cdrom
drive.

After mounting the first software CD using "volcheck"
and navigating to
/ I run the installation script and get the
following error:

# ./setup_install_server
/export/S/Solaris_9
Verifying target directory
Calculating the required disk space for the Solaris_9
product
Calculating space required for the installation boot
image
expr: syntax error
/setup_install_server: test: argument expected
#

I have googled, but to no avail - most error's are
relating to network
drives, whereas this is local.
