Ultra 45 / XVR-2500 and dual heads on Solaris 10

Dear everyone,

This weekend I spent some time installing several Ultra45s ready for a
number of people to use tomorrow. The systems have XVR-2500
framebuffers installed and dual monitors connected to them for two head
displays. I have been trying to get the dual heads working but cannot!
I have set this up afore on other dual heads without any problems.

In /dev I can only see one framebuffer device file, when I would have
expected to have seen two:
total 12
   2 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 512 Jul 31 13:01 ./
   8 drwxr-xr-x 16 root root 4096 Aug 18 20:13 ../
   2 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 48 Jul 31 13:01 kfb0 ->
../../devices/pci@1f,700000/SUNW,XVR-2500@0:kfb0
[root@dia]fbs$ pwd
/dev/fbs

Each U45 has Solaris 10 (pre-installed by Sun):
SunOS dia 5.10 Generic_118833-20 sun4u sparc SUNW,A70

Before I would have added a similar entry to this to
/usr/dt/config/Xservers, but this won't work because there is only one
device listed:

:0 Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -dev /dev/fb0
-dev /dev/fb1 -nobanner

I have smpatched the machines and had hoped that this might have added
support, but it doesn't look like it.

Because this has always been simple to configure I didn't test this
scneerio afore I decided to roll it out... oops.

Is there a patch I have missed, or some package around that I would have
to install, or some hack needed to get these dual head U45s running?

of course, I'll summerise.

Cheers for any help, Simon.
