Hi,
I have a Sun V210 in production running Solaris 8, today I have
noticed it is slow to respond to telnet and ftp at the authentication
stage. Once logged in executing commands are either successful or hang
and I'm given the following error (in this example I'm just trying to
become root):
/usr/bin/su: I/O error
I'm getting the same error when doing w and uname -a.
Not sure where to go from here, I'm currently trying to see the
process list via ps or run prtdiag but 9 times out of 10 the commands
time out with the I/O error.
Can anyone give me suggestions what to do from here apart from pricing
up another box/hard disk?
