restoring a system to boot off single drive rather than mirror md device

Sunmanagers,

I am about to go live on switching a critical system to boot off a mirror
consisiting of two submirrors and wish to have a plan of action in case it
fails to boot to restore it back to booting from the original drive.

I know that the first step of course would be to boot from cdrom and mount
the filesystem to edit. Changing /etc/vfstab back to booting from
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 and the same change for the swap partition.

I am aware that metaroot md0 changes other files however.

What do I need to change in order to undo the metaroot?

Regards
