Hi Managers,

We have a SAN build out of 3 StorEdge 3510 (2 JBOD / 1 with 2 RAID
controllers). On the SAN there are a couple of LUN's defined available
to 3 hosts (V880 with Solaris 9 and E2900 with Solaris 10). The hosts
currently are connecting to the LUN's through one Fiber switch. On
E2900 we are using SVM (soft partition) to create partitions.
Output from E2900:

Question: Once we switch RAID controllers from the loop mode to the
point-to-point configuration / introduce second fiber switch to the data
network / introduce second HBA card on the E2900 and enable
multi-pathing are we going to be able to see all data from the SAN?
Will the controller number switch, which will introduce problems with
the SVM (soft partitioning)?
Is SVM working with Device ID numbers or with the cxtxdx numbers?

This potentially could be a show stopper for the project so please
advise me.
Many thanks and I'll post the summary.
