A1000 attach issues

Okay. I originally thought this was just a firmware problem, but it appears
to be a little more serious. I'm trying to access an A1000 raid controller
to update the firmware on it. I've tried several controllers, two different
scsi cards and cables, a different chassis, two different host machines (one
running Sol8, the other running Sol9, both running RM622 )

Both host machines have successfuly mounted A1000 controllers in the past,
as well.

Both host machines are Ultra60 machines. I've tried as many combinations of
boot -rv, devfsadm, cfgadm -alv, and healthck -a that I could think of. The
only thing I'm getting is a listing from cfgadm -alv as follows:

c2 connected unconfigured unknown
unavailable scsi-bus n /devices/pci@1f,4000/scsi@4:scsi
c3 connected configured unknown
unavailable scsi-bus n /devices/pci@1f,4000/scsi@4,1:scsi
c3::es/ses11 connected configured unknown Symbios
StorEDGE A1000
unavailable unknown n /devices/pci@1f,4000/scsi@4
,1:scsi::es/ses11

I'm stumped and I'm sure its something simple I'm missing. Any suggestions?

Thanks

- Aaron
