vnc

I know this is off the beaten track but hopefully someone might have a
fix I have googled it
but no luck so far

I am trying to install Oracle over a VNC connection onto a Sun 280R
We are running Solaris v5.8 and it is Oracle Workflow for Oracle9i we
are trying to install. According to the ini file with the installer it
is OUI version 1.7.1.6.0
I get a problem with the text on an Oracle installer window being
unreadable via a VNC connection

The only way I can see the console is via X-Win32, and the fontpath for
that is:
C:/Program Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/misc,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/75dpi,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/OpenWindows,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/100dpi,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/Mathematica,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/IBM Aix,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/Sun CDE,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/HP VUE,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/Sun JP,C:/Program
Files/StarNet/X-Win32/Common/Lib/Fonts/SGI,tcp/10.1.2.9:7100

As previously mentioned I don't want to use X-Win32 as it seems to
conflict with VNC that we must leave running for other reasons.

If I try to add any of the paths starting C:/ to the fontpath in my VNC
session I get an error "xset: bad font path element (#37)..."

If I add tcp/ipaddress:7100 to the end of the fontpath, or just set the
fontpath to that only then the text is still unreadable on the installer
window again slightly different, but not legible
