i have run circles on this for the past 2 months and have not found my
answer.
so.. here is my question.
how do i set a default password for newly created account.
the rules.
should be easily scriptable.
can only use shells available in standard solaris distribution.
perl one liners acceptable.(no perl modules unless if it comes std with
perl 5.005)
NO editing the shadow file directly
has be run on the same machine (meaning no expect)
to sum it up...
how do i pipe the password to the standard passwd command?
already have solutions for perl based ( modules based Telnet/ Expect
methods)
also same for expect as standalone and the standard editing of shadow file
