I've been a Solaris admin for years now, but I have a problem this
evening which is really frustrating me. I moved a server this afternoon
from one server room to another. It is now on a different subnet. It
is a SunFire V250 with Solaris 9 with a single bge NIC card. Logical
things such as /etc/hosts, /etc/defaultrouter, /etc/netmasks, etc. have
been changed. The system is up and running fine, but I cannot ping or
use nslookup or telnet, etc. I am not using any ndd settings or have
any ndd settings in a script. When I check the /var/adm/messages file,
the link is up and initializes at 100 full. Ifconfig -a looks fine also
with the link up. What could be the problem that I'm overlooking?
