Hi all - sorry for the delay in posting. To summarise, the solution to
this problem came about after lots of head-scratching by both Sun
Support and myself.
The solution was to swap out the system board and ALOM card for new
models, and now it "just works". Whether it was a system board issue or
not is anyone's guess. We have made no further changes.
output-device=ttya
input-device=ttya
Hope this can come in useful for somebody!
