Hi Sunmanagers,

I want to add partitions to a disk which has live slices on it. I have
worked out the new layout and I will not be touching the existing areas.
I'm being paranoid, but I want to make sure that when I re-label the
disk, the existing partitions will not be affected in any way.

Some background:

o;?Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 24620 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

Part Tag Flag Cylinders Size Blocks
  0 usr wm 0 - 124 176.33MB (125/0/0) 361125
  1 usr wm 125 - 5569 7.50GB (5445/0/0) 15730605
  2 backup wu 0 - 24619 33.92GB (24620/0/0) 71127180
  3 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0
  4 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0
  5 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0
  6 unassigned wm 0 0 (0/0/0) 0
  7 usr wm 24615 - 24618 5.64MB (4/0/0) 11556

I was going to create a new partition on slice 3, starting at cylinder
5570. Its size will be 3629 cylinders.

Kind Regards

Mario
