Sun Volume Manager

I have done a new install of Solaris 9 with all the needed patches. I
created a raid 5 volume and 5 soft partitions in Sun Volume Manager. I
then removed them so I could create another configuration. After
verifying I deleting all the volumes with metasat (metastat: Devserv:
there are no existing databases) I noticed that there are still meta
devices, including ones I did not create, in the /devices/pseudo (
example devices/pseudo/md@0:1,110,blk, /devices/pseudo/md@0:2,110,blk,
/devices/pseudo/md@0:3,110,blk) and they are not being removed. I am new
to Sun's Volume Management service and so do not understand why these
devices are still around. I have tried deleting them and after a reboot
they return. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Equipment

Sun Ultra-Sparc 2

Solaris 9 patched.

Enterprise Storage (14 - 9bg drives)
