Liveupdate problem related to VxVM volumes mount

Dear managers,

I have upgraded one of my server from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9
using LiveUpdate. This server is having veritas volume manager with two disk
groups (rootdg and misc) configured for the server. All hdds are local disks
only. The version of veritas volume manager is 3.5. The new boot environment
is created on a disk which is not under control of VxVM. When I am restarting
the server, server is coming up properly with some mount point errors.

The
problem is that when I reboot the server with other (new) boot environment
enabled, I am not able to see and mount the volumes from "misc" diskgroup. I
am giving mountall command and it is giving following error:
(root@xyz)/etc/rc2.d=> mountall
mount: /tmp is already mounted, swap is busy,
or the allowable number of mount points has been exceeded
UX:vxfs mount:
ERROR: /smcBackup not a directory
        or a component of
/dev/vx/dsk/misc/vsmcBackup is not a directory
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR:
/jumpstart not a directory
        or a component of
/dev/vx/dsk/misc/vjumpstart is not a directory
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR: /smc not
a directory
or a component of /dev/vx/dsk/misc/vsmc is not a directory
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR: /home not a directory
        or a component of
/dev/vx/dsk/misc/vhome is not a directory
UX:vxfs mount: ERROR: /usr/local not
a directory
or a component of /dev/vx/dsk/misc/vlocal is not a
directory
(root@xyz)/etc/rc2.d=>

I am able to see the volumes using "vxprint
-ht" command. And I have compared the /etc/vfstab file as well with the
previous (original) solaris 8 environment. When I go to mount points, suppose
/smc, /usr/local... I am able to go into that directory (means mount points
are copied well).

I have tried to restart vxvm also, but no luck. (Please see
the logs on the bottom of mail).

I am suspecting that some patches for VxVM
should be appied to make situation working.

Please help.

Best regards,
Sun
