Hi,

Here is the situation:

I have a 19.97.0.0/17 Network reserved for a location where we want to place some servers.
so we have a range of 10.07.0.0 - 19.97.127.0.0 .

Now i have a qfe card and i want to assign it the following way:

qfe0 : 10.97.0.1 - 10.97.7.255 - 10.97.0.0 netmask 255.255.248.0
qfe1: 10.97.8.1 - 10.97.39.255 - 10.97.8.0 netmask 255.255.224.0
qfe2: 10.97.40.1 - 10.97.71.255 - 10.97.40.0 netmask 255.255.224.0

the problem is that if i put these values in /etc/netmasks it always says 10.97.0.0 as network
i can tell Solaris to the first range 10.97.0.0 - 10.97.7.255 and then qfe1 starts at 10.97.8.0 and ends 10.97.39.255....

Is there a restriction ?? Did i miss something ? I

Any help would be appreciated ;-)

Thanks a lot.
