I have a Sun Fire V240 running Solaris 8 with kernel 117350-26 which after
running for quite some time experienced a BAD TRAP kernel panic today. Here
is the line from syslog:

Dec 6 15:22:01 v240 savecore: [ID 570001 auth.error] reboot after panic:
BAD TRAP: type=31 rp=2a1004c4ce0 addr=100 mmu_fsr=0 occurred in module
"genunix" due to a NULL pointer dereference

>From past experience on other Sun model I remember this usually leads to a
failing piece of hardware. I just started googling and am seeing refernces
to patch 108528, however those problems were experienced back in 2002
(roughly). Has anyone got more specific insight?

Many thanks in advance,

Ian Dickens
