Hi everyone,
we are working on the architecture design of a new
platform with the next requirements:
- based on Sun servers
- J2EE web aplications
- about 2-3k users
- no downtime acceptable during business hours
the platform will support mission critical
applications so we are thinking in a three layered
fully redundant design with several web servers, a
cluster of application servers and another cluster on
the backend side for database servers.
Still not clear for us what software to use on the
middle tier to support the requirements of load and
availability.
Every storie from your experience on similar
environments (success or not) will be very welcome and
helpful.
