Hi!
I'm trying to install Solaris Express x86 (nv17) in a PC computer, and
after of reading http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2393 (install
basics documentation), failed to boot from grub.
First, this build doesn't contain grub's menu to boot, so i'm to have
pressing 'c' to switch to grub's console and write:
grub> kernel /boot/multiboot kernel/unix -B install_media=cdrom
There all ok, the grub knowns the kernel and only have to boot
grub> module /boot/x86.miniroot
At this point, the computer freezes *always*
I'm probing to download again the Isos but have the same problem at this
point. In the previous builds (for example nv16), I can boot without
problems.
I'm trying with a P4HT (Prescott) and P4M (non-centrino, old P4 for
notebooks), and always fails :-(
Some idea? Are other ways to boot Solaris x86 installation from CD?
