Hi all,
 I have Sunfire 6800 (24CPU , 49GB RAM , solari 8 2/02) in which when No. of
print JObs fired increases (above 300) %sys goes to 50 to 55 and this give
performance problem. I think my above config should be capable of handling this
many lp processes at time.
It is observed that at this time following messages appears continuosly on
console "message overflow on /dev/log minor #6 -- is syslogd(1M) running?"
Also syslogd takes lot of CPU resources.. and system becomes very slow ?
In sunsolve one solution is given ""ln -
s /etc/init.d/ufs_quota /etc/rc1.d/S02ufs_quota" but this is not usefull.

Can someone help me.

Thanx & Regards,
