Rebooting a tape Library

Hi All,

I have a Qualstar TLS 46120 (AIT 120 tape) tape library that is
acting up. It has 6 SCSI tape drives which are connected to 4
different Solaris 8 and 9 Hosts. The support person I am talking
with is not a UNIX trained person he is a Windows guy. (this is
running Legato) The next step in the fix to my tape library is
"rebooting" it. Last night they suggested that I shut it off for 10
minutes.

So my question is would "rebooting" the tape library upset the
systems that are attached? Three of the four systems attached are
production systems so I don't want to take any chances.

Thanks,
Lois
