Thank to all the replies
Solution,
1) clean up all the log and junk file in /var
2) Move /var/sadm to another location to create more space in /var,
3) Create /var/sadm as a symbolic software link to the new location
where it was moved.
Regards,
sam

Subject: /var
Hello Folks,
/var is running out of space, and I cannot expand it's capacity due to
hardware limitations.
I am trying to install the gcc compiler using the pkgadd command, but it
keeps failing because /var is getting full.
I tried pkgadd with the "-R /export/home" flag, and it keeps failing as
well.
Is there another way to do this without expanding /var.
Thanks in advance
sam
