Solaris 10 at home

To get ahead in my new doimain of work I tried to install Solaris 10 at home
on a spare PC.

It worked OK, but the installation also screwed up partitions with Windows
whic are handy sometimes.
Now the machine Boots Solaris and the windows partitions aren't even visible
with Partition manager.

So if any of you have a tip on two subjects:

1. How to prepare a PC for multiboot, which tools etc how to avoid the
Solaris 10 installation to screw up the rest.
     What I did was:
     - Install Windows on one partition
     - Create another of 4 Gig for solaris
     - Install Solaris and specify the partition to use

   Or

2. Indicate a good tool to explore the harddisk and identify the lost
partitions.
Plus another one to fix the multiboot after (maybe its Ranish).

Yes I consulted many of the sites available, so if any of you either have a
detail description or can pin-point the specific faul I did.

Thanks in advance.
